Dramaturgy Workshops
© Montréal Danse
Montréal Danse has invested in a variety of dramaturgy based events throughout the years. All of them aim to help develop knowledge and skills in the community around dramaturgical questioning and thinking in creation.
Practicing Dramaturgy
An 8 to 20 hours workshop exploring dramaturgical processes and tools. This workshop explores the many ways of bringing dramaturgical thinking into a creative process. There is little training in dramaturgy so most dramaturgs learn their skills through experimentation. As this role is in active expansion, this workshop is useful to broaden participants’ understanding of how it can be practiced. This 2 to 5 days workshop is an opportunity for new and experienced dramaturgs to share approaches and for those new to dramaturgy to gain additional tools to bring to their creation practice. This workshop can be for artists from all disciplines.
