For 20 years, Louise Michel has worked for various companies and independent artists such as Hanako Hoshimi-Caines, Rubberband, Dana Gingras, Frederick Gravel, Adam Kinner, Simon Portigal, Lara Oundjian, Kim Sanh Chau, and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. After living in Belgium for five years, she created her first project, Stroke aka SHUDDER, in collaboration with Ben Fury (Belgium), which premiered at Charleroi danse (Brussels, 2016) and in several venues including OFFTA (2015), Tangente (Montreal, 2016), Palais de Tokyo (Paris, 2016), and Festival de Lausanne (2017). She is creating a second project, Bright Worms, presented at La Chapelle (2021 and Offta 2023), a multidisciplinary research project on bioluminescence with the integration of video projections and lighting devices in collaboration with sound artist Magali Babin. She teaches regularly at EDCM and UQAM. Between 2024 and 2025, she was the creative partner of neurodivergent multidisciplinary artist Edon Descollines on the show TROU NOIR by the Joe Jack et John theater company. Since 2021, she has also been working in the field of plants and flowers. This second career has become essential for maintaining a healthy balance and providing the necessary distance for her artistic practice.
