Emmalie is a graduate from UQÀM’s B.A. in dance and recipient of the William Douglas Award (2011). It was during her studies that she met Karenne Gravel, with whom she formed Dans son salon. The company promotes artistic collaboration around interdisciplinary projects created for the stage, unconventional spaces, and also video. Their projects have been presented in several venues in Montreal, Canada, France and Mexico. As a performer, Emmalie has worked with Manon Oligny, Stacey Désilier, Geneviève Jean Bindley, Abe Simon Mijnheer, Helen Simard, Peter Trosztmer and Audrée Lewka. Emmalie continues to develop her collaboration with Stéphanie Fromentin on the project It’s fine, pursues a research and creation project, Des Québécoises au Mexique, as well as a video-dance web series Ma première Gaspésie, under the banner of dance.
