Catherine Duchesneau has been working in and around the Montreal dance scene for over ten years. After holding a position as coordinator-editor for Lorganisme, she embarked on doctoral research to study the knowledge that emerges from practices of attention and relationship in dance. As an intervener, she has worked with people living with mental health issues and with women who have experienced sexual violence. More recently, she has been involved in creative processes as co-creator, artistic advisor or dancer (Abécédaire d’un processus de décentrement with Sara Hanley; Jeux de rien with Vickie Grondin; Les limites infinies de la peau by Caroline Laurin-Beaucage; La Canopée by Catherine Lavoie-Marcus). She teaches at UQAM in the fields of feminist studies and the sociology of art.
