Choreographer, interdisciplinary artist, curator and performer. Holds a B.A and MFA in Dance from Columbia University and Hollins University. Creates dance works and invents creative formats for the stage, the screen and various other spaces. Believes in the power of imagination.

Brian Brooks, a Guggenheim Fellow in Choreography, lives, works, and studies in New York City, where his dance group, the Moving Company, has been presented by venues including The Joyce Theater, New York City Center, and BAM’s Next Wave Festival.
