Juliette is a transdisciplinary researcher with a passion for contemporary dance. Her career began with professional dance training at the Rotterdam Dance Academy, combined with a sustained activity in the production of images of the body in movement, notably for Flux Laboratory, an artistic incubator dedicated to performance.
Parallel to her artistic practice, she has enriched her experience within various cultural and social organizations based in Geneva, her hometown. This period preceded the completion of an MSc in Education at the University of Glasgow in 2018, followed more recently by a PhD from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, in Philosophy of Education. Her research has led her to explore in depth the pedagogical potential of art around socio-ecological issues related to death, mourning and memory.
Integrating herself into the Montreal art scene through a commitment to a major social cause such as Danse Contre la Violence, represents a precious opportunity for her to combine her main aspirations: she can not only provide concrete support to people in vulnerable situations, but also support the artists involved in this initiative.
