During Restorative Justice Week, which runs from November 16 to 23, 2025, Montréal Danse is once again partnering with the Restorative Justice Service Center (CSJR) to offer a sensitive and caring movement workshop.
Entitled “Debout” (Stand up), this workshop is an invitation to inhabit your body differently—to listen to your sensations, to connect with yourself and others in a safe and respectful space.
IInspired by the words of Geneviève Rioux, spokesperson for the Restorative Justice Service Center, the theme “Stand Up” opens up a space for reflection and transformation: how, after a difficult experience, can we regain power over our bodies and our stories? How can we gently start moving again, at our own pace?
The workshop will be led by Hoor Malas, choreographer, performer, and facilitator for DCV, known for her grounded, gentle, and deeply human approach. Through guided movement exploration, participants will be invited to reconnect with their sensations and allow whatever their bodies wish to express to emerge, without expectation.
We will conclude with an optional moment of sharing, to express a word, a feeling, or a gesture inspired by the movement.
This workshop is designed to promote well-being and self-awareness—it is not a therapeutic space, but offers a gentle opportunity for integration.
If you require more personalized support, we will be happy to refer you to appropriate resources.

Some testimonials from our November 2024 workshop…

It was such a welcoming and supportive environment. I felt I could really open up and I learned so much! I took away with me a feeling of empowerment and confidence. It truly inspired me!! I took away so much!
