Montréal Danse, a choreographic development platform that has been creating, producing, and presenting works for 40 years, is looking for its next intern as part of the démART-Mtl program, managed by the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM).
For a six-month period in 2026, from january to june (dates to be confirmed), we are seeking a project coordinator who meets the eligibility criteria established by CAM:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident at the time of application;
- Be from a culturally diverse background (ethnocultural or visible minority);
- Be an immigrant, newcomer, or first-generation person;
- Be a self-employed worker in the artistic field (according to the Artist Status Act and hiring conditions in Quebec);
- Reside on the Island of Montréal.
Job Description:
In addition to supporting the intern’s personal artistic practice, they will be called upon to actively participate in the implementation of various Montréal Danse activities, notably by providing support in administrative and logistical tasks.
They will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of meaningful projects, such as the events organized as part of the philanthropic campaign marking the 15th anniversary of Danse contre la violence, a project led by the company since 2010, offering movement workshops in women’s shelters to support victims of domestic violence.
The internship will take place within a supportive, committed team enriched by its cultural and linguistic diversity.
- Internship Dates: January to June 2026
- Compensation: $12,000 for 600 hours ($20/hour), funded by CAM
