Between September 2024 and June 2025, 93 workshops were deployed from the heart, body and solidarity of our incredible dancer-facilitators Rachel, Elinor, Salomé and Hoor. Through the program, they created spaces of well-being, connection and empowerment for people affected by violence and exclusion.
Danse Against Violence > Workshops Calendar
In shelters :
- 16 workshops at the Assistance aux femmes shelter, for mothers and their children recently released from a violent situation;
- 9 workshops at the West Island Women’s Shelter, with women receiving services who are victims-survivors of domestic violence;
- 35 workshops at Le Chaînon, with women in highly vulnerable situations, often homeless.
In community organizations: :
- 24 workshops at the Women’s Center of Montréal Est / Pointe-aux-Trembles, for those experiencing domestic violence or socioeconomic realities ;
- 3 workshops during Restorative Justice Week and Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, in partnership with the CSJR, the Elizabeth Fry Society of Quebec and the CALACS Trêve pour Elles ;
- 6 workshops at the YWCA Montreal, to break isolation and reconnect with oneself, with others.
