After studying visual arts (Université Laval), Geneviève Robitaille completed her professional training at L’École de Danse de Québec (2015). She has been working with Lina Cruz since 2016, with whom she dances, among others, the solo Tic-Tac Party and the group piece Morphs. Geneviève took part in Alan Lake’s Cri des méduses, and reprised a role in Daniel Léveillé’s Solitudes Duos. She danced in Catherine Gaudet’s ODE (premiered at FTA 2024), as well as in Êtres de bois and Fleuve Espace Danse’s film Marée Noire, while reprising roles in previous works by these two companies. She has also collaborated with Marie Lambin-Gagnon, Social Growl Dance, Martin Messier, Jacynthe Carrier, Parts+Labour, Morgane Le Tiec and Kimberley De Jong. In addition to performing for other artists, she creates links between the visual arts and dance through personal research in multidisciplinary art, as well as creating with her contemporary circus collective, Les Furtives.
