Catherine Lavoie-Marcus is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher in the performing arts based in Tiohti\u00e1:ke\/Mooniyang\/Montreal. Combining the fields of choreography and political thought, she is interested in the mechanisms, forms, and discourses that exert control over bodies or, conversely, open up paths to liberation. She shares her theoretical reflections in the form of articles, columns, and essays, and through her practical and theoretical teaching as a professor in the dance department at UQAM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
