Michael Martini is rooted in Montreal’s queer and interdisciplinary community as a creator, performer, and collaborator. Despite his background in theater, he also works in dance and performance contexts, in both French and English. He creates works for a variety of contexts, from black box theaters to video screens, public spaces to cabarets. His practice is DIY in nature, layering text, movement, multimedia, participatory elements, and theatrical fantasy. In 2024, his practice gained international recognition through his solo show <\/span>Et si Hansel avait consenti d’\u00eatre cuit vivant?<\/span><\/i> (What if Hansel had agreed to be cooked alive?), with several performances in Canada and in Marseille, Avignon, and Brussels.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
