In Paris, she studied dance at the Universit\u00e9 Paris 8, the RIDC and the CNSMDP, collaborated with French choreographers and created <em>Lala\u00ef<\/em>\u00a0(2012) and\u00a0<em>Bouy\u00e9 Jouy\u00e9 Mouli\u00e2n<\/em>\u00a0(2015).<\/p>\n<p>Settled in Montreal in 2016, she founded the collective V\u00e2tchik Danse in collaboration with dramaturge Kiasa Nazeran. Together they created\u00a0<em>Moi-Me-Man<\/em>\u00a0(2017) and\u00a0<em>La Chute<\/em>\u00a0(2019) and\u00a0<em>L&#8217;Inconsistance\u00a0<\/em>(in process) drawing inspiration from the art and socio-political history of Iran, current political issues, and German expressionism aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p>Nasim has also choreographed for films and plays, performed for dance companies such as Ample Man Danse (2021) and Kondition Pluriel (2021-2022), and taught children and adults.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rebelling against the current Iranian regime&#8217;s prohibitions of all forms of art, Nasim Lootij left Iran in 2006 to settle in France.
