With more than 20 years of practice in architecture, Isabelle Blain has acquired a diversified experience in several Montreal firms of different sizes and missions. She has worked mainly on projects for public clients in health and education. With a particular interest in technique and quality of execution, Isabelle now acts as an independent technical consultant and specifier for professional or Public Works.
In addition to her practice and participation in several professional associations, Ms. Blain is involved at various levels in the community. From 2016 to 2019, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Institut Ludo-Pédagogique du Québec, which offers developmental workshops for families in various areas on the island of Montreal. She is now on the Development Committee of Espacemaker, a non-profit social economy enterprise offering collaborative spaces for making, learning, exploring, creating, exhibiting and sharing, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors and the Funding Committee of Montréal Danse since 2014.
